The piece I chose from class had a white porcelain appearance with blue dye decorating the perimeter. I concluded because of the white porcelain material and blue dye that is must have come from China. This is because China is know for its signature blue dye porcelain sets. Blue and white porcelain was first created as early as the ninth century in the Henan province of China. Blue and white porcelain is still a hugely respected art and coveted by many around the world. I also saw that patented blue and white porcelain pottery with the cup to my left. These Chinese pieces also tend to be a little shiny and last through out the years.
