Deceivingly simple, but I would beg to differ. I'm the kind of person that is captivated by the simplist pieces. I feel like there is more to the piece than their simplicity and that was what I saw in this teapot. I really like the throw marks and they really stand out thanks to the beautiful looking white glaze. I like how the teapot was thrown as it looks like a cylinder that is about to be closed at the top, before the attachments were put onto the teapot. For some reason, the spout made me immediately think of an elephant's trunk and that may be because of the color of the piece and the way elephants raise their trunks is the position of the spout. The lid looks nicely made with throw marks on them as well so we see consistency throughout the whole piece. The handle fits perfectly into the teapot as the binding rope creates a similar look with the throw marks as well. This piece isn't as easy to make as it looks.
