I have seen these blue and white ceramic pieces every where. It is one of the most recognizable styles of ceramics that can be found anywhere. I always knew that the main medium for the blue and white ceramics was porcelain. These pots originated in China and can be dated back to the ninth or tenth century. The teapot we have in class, as well as these vases, both branch from the same style of Chinese art that is over 100 years old.
