This is a raku piece. Raku is a form of Japanese pottery, which is fired at a low temperature. Similiar to the raku piece that Mrs. I had shown us in class, this piece has crack designs on it. I like this raku piece because the color of the piece and the design is very interesting. I also thought that the pearl like color of pieces were very unusual.
