Boy did it take me a while to find a picture similar to the piece I drew in class. This piece in the picture looks kind of like the green and white reliquary in class. The white clay, I'm assuming, is porcelain so it would originate from China. This piece in the picture has designs of flowers and vines which is closely related to the designs on the reliquary. However, the white seems to stand out more in the picture than the reliquary and that may be a sign of who or when these reliquaries were made. The chinese love to emphasize pictures and designs on their pieces and white porcelain background doesn't stand out as much. This piece in the picture is completely the opposite so the origins must differ. Most of the time, the chinese doesn't have a bunch of different designs on their pieces, but a specific theme. In both this picture and the reliquary in class, flowers were designed throughout each piece. Usually the designs symbolize something and I think the flowers symbolize peace and a stage of refreshment.
