These Raku pieces struck me in a number of ways, however it was mostly by there design and texture that grabbed my eye. Unlike other raku pieces these modern vases are smooth and shiny, something I never saw when at wheel. They don't have the rough edges or look as if they've been fired in a trashcan. There design is flawless and created with great precision, and I hope I can learn how to create pieces that look as amazing as these.
