For my final project, I intend to create a rather large vase, about a foot tall and with a diameter of 5 inches at the top. The jar will also consist of a spout and handle;the spout I will mold into my vase itself, and for the handle, I intend to simply pull a piece of clay. I would like to create my jug in such a manner that my jug will have an even consistency in it's walls. I want my jug to be relatively light-perhaps no more than 2 pounds. For my glaze, I intend to use a thick coating of Oribe or Celadon. The image above is one of the more essential photos of a jug that I integrated, for the purpose of crafting my blueprint for my piece. The basic contour and shape of the jug above is very similar to the shape in which I intend to create my piece. The white as you can probably see, is nice, but I intend to make my vase green, and the vase itself perhaps a little thinner...
