I really like this platter because it has many elements of design included in it. I like that it is a large platter and I would like to make something similar in size. I also like the color combination of black, red, yellow, and green. I think that the design makes the piece look more like a platter than a plate. I also like that the edge has a pattern in the clay. For my piece I would either like to incorporate a design in the clay or a design with glaze, slip, or stain.
